Created back in 1998, the Eurobot is an international event open to international amateur robotic enthusiasts. The aim of this robotics contest is to organize young people, science clubs and/or teams of robotic enthusiasts and allow them to showcase their own autonomous robots and compete with each other.
At the event, fair-play, solidarity, knowledge sharing and creativity will be highlighted. Although this contest takes place in Europe, robot enthusiasts from all over the world are very much welcome to join the amateur contest.
This year, the Eurobot 2014 National Contests will take place in several countries which includes Algeria, Belgium, France, Germany, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia and United Kingdom. The top three teams from each country will be selected and will compete in the finals.
The Finals of this event will be held on June 6 to 8, 2014 in Dresden, Germany.
