Next Gen Drones 2015 will be held in Bethesda, Maryland, in the U.S. on June 23-24.
The Next Gen Drones conference will focus on technological advancements that have had an impact on unmanned systems, and will also look into the many ways that this technology can be commercialized.
There will be key presentations and technical presentations throughout Next Gen Drones 2015 to help attendees learn more about UAV communications, flight control, navigation development, research and commercialization.
The event revolves around four main components:
UAV Communications, Navigation and Flight Control
Currently, there are three speakers who will be addressing the topics UAV Communications, Navigation and Flight Control on June 23. Sessions will include “Aerodynamically Functionalized Antennas and Beamforming in UAS Clusters” and “Beyond Line of Sight Communications for UAS.” Five additional speakers will fall under this topic header on June 24. Highlights include “How Cargo Drones Can Achieve Massive Scale” and “Air Launch Remote Sensing Systems.”
UAV Research, Development and Commercialization
On june 23 two speakers will be discussing UAV Research, Development and Commercialization. The programs for this section of Next Gen Drones will be “Designing Consumer Drones for Commercial Activities” and “USGS Applications of UAS Technology.”
Key Regulatory Perspectives
There will be keynote presentation from the FAA by James Williams on June 24. This presentation is entitled “Airspace Integration of Commercial UAVs: FAA Update.”
UAV Integration, Safety and Regulation
The morning of June 24 will be dedicated to UAV Integration, Safety and Regulation. Six speakers will fall under this header with discussions including “Misuse of Unmanned Vehicles” and “Ice Protection System Utilizing Carbon Nanotube Coatings.”
