AR-101
Following the success of AR-100, the brilliant minds of Android Robotics Corporation and OmegaDigital released a successor to capitalize on its fame and popularity. The humanoid robot, known as AR-101, was released in 2007. There are slight variations in design, but not much in the system software provided by OmegaDigital.
AR-101 robots are mainly intended for use as entertainment robots. In fact, during a public exhibition in Russia, several of these humanoids performed a synchronized dance routine before the audience.
The electronics used in AR-101 enable it to perform simple movements, such as leaning sideways, sitting, standing, lying, rolling, and raising its arms and legs. These robots may become the toughest competitors of human dancers on reality TV shows!
