  • Bar Bot

In 2003, Austria’s Humanoid Robotics Laboratory (HRL) developed a humanoid robot capable of emulating a human’s finer traits. The research conducted by HRL was done together with a scientific group known as Time’s Up.

Bar Bot was designed to be a beggingly selfish and alcoholic robot driven by self interest. The group said they created Bar Bot to be that way in order to develop and build a humanoid robot that is truly self-serving.

Bar Bot is truly amazing. It was built to drink beer, but in order to drink, it has to beg for money from other people. Once it gets all the cash, it buys the booze and relies on other people to put the can in its hand. When it finishes the beer, the process starts all over again.

    Features:

    • Engages in social interactions
    • Ask for money, buys and drinks beer
