On January 29, 2012, robot enthusiasts were taken into adrenaline-pumping excitement as various robots competed in the 2012 Robot Athlete Cup. The competition took place at the Hamagin Space Science Center in Yokohama. The Black Tiger were among the competitors.
In particular, it competed in the radio-controlled 5 meter foot race, where it beat three other robots. Its new prototype, Black Tiger Neo, competed in the ROBO-One Gate Dance Competition, where it showed its magnificent moves to the tune of Michael Jackson’s "Thriller".
