Hajime Robot 1
Hajime Research Institute of Japan began fulfilling the dreams of robot fans in 2002 when it unveiled Hajime Robot 1. It was the first humanoid robot in what would be an actual string of humanoid robots designed by actual robotic fans for the robotic fans.
Unknown to many, Hajime Sakamoto, the owner of Hajime Research Institute, is an actual mecha fan. This may be the primary reason why his company is so fond of producing mecha; robots ranging from small to large sizes. Hajime Robot 1 was Sakamoto’s first attempt in the field of humanoid robots. It was used primarily as a walking test robot.
