  • King Kizer is a fighting robot developed and created by Naoki Maru who has years of experience building robots. This robot was inspired from the movie Real Steel.

This regular Robo-One boxing champion employs the Kinect-style motion technology and uses the Asus Xtion Pro Live Sensors instead of a control harness. This allows the robot to follow and copy its creator’s motions, from bending its knees to throwing a punch or a kick.

With this sensor, which frees it from the physical harness, the King Kizer becomes a robot equipped with full-body motion capture system. One setback that affects this boxing robot though is that it still has a couple seconds of lag but still a force to reckon with inside the Robo-One competition.

    King Kizer Features:

    • Xtion Pro Live Sensors
    • Cameras
    • Bipedal robot
    • 3’2” robot
    • Kinect-style motion technology
