NAMO
Namo, also known as Novel Articulated Mobile Platform, is a humanoid robot that was developed in Thailand. It was created by The Institute of Field Robotics, or FIBO, to act as a welcoming guide in public places such as universities and museums.
Namo stands 4’3” tall and is positioned in a steady three-wheeled omnidirectional base. It has a built-in Blackfin camera that allows it to “see”. It can track objects and gestures, a feature that is useful when it’s in conversation mode. It communicates to visitors in the Thai language.
