NBC Sports and Golf Channel reporter Jim "Bones" Mackay is leaving television to caddie for Justin Thomas, Mackay told Golf Channel on Thursday. Mackay actually caddied for Thomas early in the 2018 season when Johnson spent 17 years playing professionally in South Africa, so hes seen the sport from the side of the caddie and the player. Mackay filled in again in 2020, when Johnson was injured, atthe WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, which Thomas won by three strokes, as well as at the PGA Championship and throughout the FedExCup playoffs.
