The International Botball Tournament takes place in the USA from July 6-10, 2013. The competition is a venue for high school and middle aged students. Not only are they competing in a team-oriented robotic contest, but also serves as a perfect way for students to connect with other robot enthusiasts and meet today’s new common core standards.
At this event, students also get to learn science, technology, engineering and math while applying these subjects to real life challenges. Furthermore, students who participate at the tournament get to learn new things, and at the same time share their ideas and techniques with other robot enthusiasts.
This year, the International Botball Tournament, which is being hosted by the Global Conference on Educational Robotics 2013 (GCER 2013), will include online documentations, onsite presentations, seeding rounds, double elimination rounds and even alliance matches. To date more than 340 teams worldwide have registered for this prestigious robotic competition.
