Techfest is Asia’s largest science and technology festival organized by students of IIT Bombay. With an amount of students of more than 100,000 from 2300 colleges of India and 500 colleges abroad.
For the last sixteen years Techfest has been working with an aim to provide a platform for promotion of technology, scientific thinking and innovation. The Techfest festival is supported by UNICEF and UNESCO recognizing the outreach that Techfest has and the impact it has had at the global level.
IIT Bombay is one of the premier institutes of science and technology of India and is known for its ground breaking researches and quality education all across the globe.
With the presence of more than 6,000 Corporate executives from across the globe, Techfest has a reach of more than 3 million people. Previous Techfest festivals have featured eminent companies including Microsoft, Intel, NVIDIA, Google, Sun Microsystems, IBM, Schlumberger, TATA, Wipro, Texas Instruments, at&t, ORACLE, AMD, hp, National Geographic Channel, Yahoo and Siemens.
With a vision of providing a platform for students, academia and corporates to have a closer look to what has been achieved, Techfest has presented research breakthroughs and magnificent exhibits from Austria, Australia, France, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA.
The seventeenth edition of Techfest is scheduled between 3rd-5th January 2014.
