Founded by Bruno Maisonnier in 2005, Aldebaran Robotics is a French company that has its main focus on humanoid robots. The company aims at offering software, platform and tools to enable the robotic industry develop applications of the future. The company produces, commercializes and designs autonomous humanoid robots.
Currently, Aldebaran Robotics is developing different models of robots, including Romeo, a humanoid designed to assist people, and NAO, an autonomous programmable humanoid for universities and laboratories to help with research. Consisting of 310 people, the Aldebaran Robotics team is dedicated to the development and commercialization of its first products.
With the rapid change in demographics, the company has a vision to produce robots that could be used by the general public. Aldebaran Robotics is committed to developing practical solutions for daily life by performing research in areas such as personal robotics, human-robot interaction and autistic child therapy.
