The British Automation and Robot Association (BARA) provides a voice for the robot and automation industries in the UK. BARA consists of an advocacy body that supports the industry at the government, industrial, financial and education institutional levels.
The association’s aim is to promote the use of, and assist in, the development of industrial robots and automation within the British industrial sector and provide support to the end-user community.
BARA also acts as a clearinghouse for information and a network for suppliers, employers and members of special interest sub-groups (SIGs) within the association. These sub-groups include SIGs for advanced robotics, aerospace, safety, academics and control system security, among others.
Based in Surrey, BARA is also a member of the International Federation of Robotics.
