Endinet is part of the Alliander business group. The company constructs and maintains a reliable infrastructure for energy. Endinet makes sure that consumers and businesses are always supplied with power and heat.
To take its services to the next level, Endinet is investing in a robotics project named “Pirate”. Today, problems like pipeline leaks can only be detected after the damage is done. Pressure drops in the network and above ground sensors can find the problem. With the development of small autonomous robots that can explore pipelines from within, the company aims at providing advanced systems to address such problems.
These mini robots will be well equipped with sensors to detect any deformation in the pipelines that may cause leaks in the future. This will lead to the possibility of making repairs before the actual problems occur.
