Re-Lion is a global company that specializes in technology for TDGS (Terrain Database Generation Systems) as well as small unit training and driving simulation. The company provides products for organizations in high-tech fields, including the Boeing Company, NL Ministry of Defense as well as Thales Naval. Re-Lion also offers training systems that have both military and commercial use.
In an attempt to apply its extensive experience and knowledge of virtual reality, Re-Lion is involved in the VirtuRob project. This project is a partnership between several high tech companies and two Dutch technological universities to develop a means of rehabilitation by using robotics. Virtual Reality will be used to create a special training system to train the impaired arm and hand function of patients experiencing neurological disorders. In addition to motivating the patients, this project will help save a great deal of money for the healthcare sector.
