IGEAT-theInstitute of Environmental Management and Planning- conducts interdisciplinary research in various fields, including regional development, environment, and tourism. IGEAT is a department of the Faculty of Sciences at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Being one of the IGEAT research units, Geospatial Analysis (ANAGEO) specializes in land cover/land use mapping, modeling and analysis, with a number of possible applications. ANAGEO has extensive experience in Object-Based Image Analysis. Another research unit of IGEAT is GAG, which specializes in the location of regional geography, economic activities, socio-political studies, and land planning.
IGEAT is involved in project TIRAMISU, in which it will participate in the development of the Land Impact Survey. Moreover, IGEAT will be involved in the Toolbox Integration.
