Keystone Sporting Arms, Davey Crickett, Chipmunk, Hunter Pistol, 22 WMR, 22 magnumThis is my review of the Hunter pistol 22 mag,The trigger pull has recieved bad reviews online, I found it to be good, and wonder if they had poor grip mechanics leading to a trigger pull in a direction other than a straight back.In Oregon it is legal hunting season for forest grouse during deer/elk/bear seasons with a shotgun or rimfire, so instead of carrying a shotgun or rimfire rifle and a centerfire riflle, I own a ruger bearcat that would work vs grouse, but wouldn't be as confident with 22lr at short to medium range vs a coyote/bobcat/cougar due to cylinder gap, a 4 inch barrel and short sight radius, so while 22 mag won't fully replace the .357 I normally carry, it's better than 22lr and legal for the grouseRuta Locura is the name of the outfit from Ogden Utah that does the Crickett conversions,I think the barrel fluting could be much deeper on this pistol,I also shot clay pigeons placed at 25 yards, I shot them from a crouched position, one knee on the ground, the other knee up, with an elbow resting on the up knee, I have used this position many times in the fieldI also shot them from a standing, elbow on hip, position that I used for competive rimfire rifle shootingThe free floated foregrip makes these positions feel very natural.Don't mistake the hits on the target shown for a vertical string, I intentionally picked each point of impact from top to bottom, a couple of the shots are slightly off centerline and one was a bit low, I think I had the target upside down in the video as the nail hole that should be at the top of the target is at the bottom in part of the video and covered by my thumb later Keystone Sporting Arms, Davey Crickett, Chipmunk, Hunter Pistol, 22 WMR, 22 magnumThis is my review of the Hunter pistol 22 mag,The trigger pull has recieved.
