Zesbenige robot or Zebro is a Dutch Robotics project introduced by the Technical University of Delft. Zebro is a computational and power autonomous robot that is crafted on the foundations of RHex, which is a robot with similar appearance and a lot of functionality. The robot is designed for educational purposes and the research and development of new control methodologies for complicated robot platforms.
Zebro can not only run and move over hard terrains, but it can also flip over. The project was initiated to make use of new motion control methodologies and develop new methods to improve search as well as rescue situations using robots. With the help of its high power, small size and the ability to function in various kinds of terrain, the Zebro could be a precious possession.
