CB² is a child-robot with biomimetic abilities developed by JST ERATO Asada Project. Standing at 4 feet 5 inches and weighing 72 pounds, this humanoid robot is built for the purpose of human study of cognitive development, social maturity, behavior, attitude and other personal stuff that affect an individual’s growth.

CB² robot doesn’t just look like a baby; it is also capable of learning like one. Part of CB² robot’s learning is having a family or someone who can provide touch and belongingness as these are the fundamentals of baby development.

This robot from JST ERATO Asada Project is claimed to be the most advanced baby-like robot in the world of robotics.
