Carrying most of the body structure of Android 4, and the control system of Android 5, James Bruton made Android 6 with several improvements. Most of the improvements for this android were carried out in 2005.

While the hip and foot are from Android 4, the legs of Android 6 are equipped with wiper motors, while the arms are made of linear actuators. Some parts, such as the wrists and several control electronics, were taken from Android 3.

Originally intended to be a service robot (one that could likely do dishwashing), Android 6 utilizes the swing of its arms for balance as it walks. Extra motors are included in the wrists, allowing it to move and rotate.

    Features:

    • Most body parts were taken from previous Androids
    • Body parts cut from plywood and fitted together
    • Motors, actuators, and chips to facilitate simple body movements
