Assistant Robot (AR)

Assistant Robot is a humanoid robot designed to perform household chores. This new robot assistant, standing 1.6 meters tall and weighing 130 kilograms, was created under the collaboration of Toyota and Professor Masayuki Inaba’s team at Tokyo University in Japan.

Assistant Robot can recognize its surroundings, create 3-dimensional model motions, and self-evaluate whether its task is successful or not. Assistant robot is only available in white. 

Features:

• Equipped with rangefinder and stereo camera that allow robot to recognize the general environment
• Capable of motion based on a 3D geometric model
• Built-in evaluation abilities assist in accomplishing household tasks
• Flexibility with its 32 Degrees of Freedom: 7 times on each arm, 6 on each hand, 3 on the head and neck, 2 on the wheels and 1 on the hips
