Showcased at the Sunrise Hero Robot Battle during the 2009 International Robot Exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight, Automo 06, along with 10 other robots, outsmarted each other in the battle arena. This event was sponsored by ROBO-One Entertainment and LOXLEY Co. It was a special robot fighting tournament, where the robot entries were solely based on characters created by Sunrise, Inc.
Automo 06 was created by Wakka and inspired by the Gundam robots; a popular type of robot that has appeared in many episodes of Japanese animation. It has two legs for movement and its cover is made from a special craft paper. The Gundam-inspired robot won second place in the competition; it was beaten by MS-06S Zaku II in the final battle.
