  • BeiBei is a humanoid robot developed by the Beijing Institute of Technology and financed by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. BeiBei and JingJing are the latest of the three versions of the Beijing Humanoid Robots (BHR). Standing at 5 feet 4 inches and weighing 143 pounds, BeiBei robot can perform a series of martial art moves and shadow boxing, which make it a good Beijing Olympics mascot. The life-size robot can also have an interesting conversation with anyone.

    Features:

    • Visual and sound sensors allow initiation of conversation while responding to questions
    • Gyroscopes and accelerometers keep its balance even on an uneven ground
    • Obstacles sensors keep it from bumping over obstacles
    • Walks at a speed of 1 Kilometer per hour with a 0.33 Meter stride
