  • Elumotion Ltd., in partnership with Bristol Robotics Lab, developed a superior robotic torso called BERT 1, or Bristol Elumotion Robotic Torso 1. BERT 1 is part of the project that aims to provide a safe human-robot interaction in all circumstances.

The goal of the project is to make a humanoid robot capable of recognizing and understanding human intention for a specific situation. This results in an effective human-robot performance of a particular task.

Bert 1 of Bristol Robotics comes with an easy-to-read digital head, life-like skin, responsive limbs and torque sensors.

    Features:

    • Digital head capable of making facial expressions
    • Torque sensors allowing it to accurately measure its torque on a rotating system
    • Artificial skin that prevents one to have that uncanny valley experience
