  • BHR 1 robot is a humanoid robot developed by Beijing Institute of Technology. It is capable of performing the ancient Chinese martial art ‘Tai Chi’. The robotic development project was funded by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (CMST).

    BHR 1 robot is part of the humanoid robots developed by BIT that are programmed to handle dangerous work locations in the near future. The Chinese bot stands at 5 feet 1 inch and weighs 167 pounds.

    BHR 1 robot can withstand extremes of toxic-polluted area, terrorist-infested regions and other areas that can place a human life in grave danger. It was introduced in 2002 and comes in the silver color.
