Bonobo

Bonobo 

The Bonobo Robot is a prototype developed by Technovision in 2005 with the cooperation of the CMS Institute of Technology and Seoul National University. Bonobo’s design is inspired by a certain species of Chimpanzee found in the Congo, using a 3D CAD.

Although Technovision is a company that specializes in security systems, this chimp, Bonobo, was created as a prototype service robot that can assist with completing basic household chores like cleaning and cooking. 

Features:  

• Performs fine movements such as shaking hands and waving

• Capable of speech playback

• Can walk in all directions

• Clear vision in eyes through use of built-in camera
