Hobbyists and robot enthusiasts are always excited with every release of new robot kits and programmable robots, because they get to impose their own ideas even at the simplest levels. This was the instance in 2006 when the South Korean company D2E Robotics released D2V-ZN. The robot made its debut at RoboWorld 2006.
D2V-ZN was a huge success. Its color camera allows the robot to recognize its owner and differentiate it from other people. This small, two-legged programmable robot has image capturing functions which makes it a very usable spy robot for looking after children’s activities. D2V-ZN is able to follow numerous voice commands, proving that it is capable of voice recognition.
