Daddy The Easy 1
Hosei University proved that it is one institute to beat when it comes to advanced technologies in robotics. One of its noteworthy contributions in the robotics community dates back to 1994, with its work as a high bar gymnast robot called Daddy the Easy 1. Others often refer to it as Easy Going Daddy.
Takashima Lab and Hosei University worked hand in hand with the development of Daddy the Easy 1. A short clip on Takshima Lab’s official website shows this humanoid robot performing stunts on a high bar as if it was made of very light-weight materials. Superb design and programming are shown, as the robot seems to be very comfortable doing its acrobatic routine on the high bar just like a real gymnast.
