  • Diego-San is a baby robot created by researchers from Machine Perception Laboratory at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), in collaboration with Kokoro Co. Ltd. and Hanson Robotics. It is a humanoid robot created after a one-year old baby.

    Standing 1.3 meters tall and weighing 30 kilograms, Diego-San robot is designed to be used as a tool for understanding how a one-year old human interacts with the outside environment and acquires the ability to use nonverbal expressions - such as gestures.

    • Face has 20 moving parts that allow various facial expressions

    • Orientation and movement awareness using 6-axis accelerometer
