DOC-2
Taiwan’s National Taiwan University of Science and Technology created a second generation DOC robot, which has been upgraded from its intelligent DOC-h robot, the DOC-2.
This robot is an autonomous, multi-functional intelligent robot, which teaches and entertains humans. DOC-2 speaks, and can even spell English words shown on an image card. This robot can also solve simple algebraic problems, which are displayed on the board.
This robot is like a simple walking and speaking encyclopaedia and can help people learn. Aside from its teaching capabilities, DOC-2 can also entertain people. It can play chess, Gobang Games, and Chinese chess. Unlike its predecessors, DOC-2 has superb visual capabilities, allowing it to recognize faces and interpret the facial expressions of humans. When asked, this robot can also serve tea to its owner.-
