EMIEW Series : EMIEW 2

EMIEW 2 is a humanoid robot developed by HITACHI which is designed to communicate with humans in all ways. EMIEW 2, which stands for ‘Excellent Mobility and Interactive Existence as Workmate 2’, comes with more advanced navigation features than its older counterpart - EMIEW.

In addition to its obstacle evasion features, EMIEW 2 maps its destination and navigates through a series of corridors in multiple turns. This makes this humanoid robot capable of guiding visitors, delivering office materials, and bringing coffee to the room.

Standing at 80 centimeters and weighing 14 kilograms, EMIEW 2 flexibly moves at a speed of 6 kilometers per hour. EMIEW 2 also has more advanced integrated voice processing systems that are suited for a noisy office environment.
