  • EMIEW is a humanoid robot developed by HITACHI that is designed to assist individuals in their daily activities. EMIEW stands for ‘Excellent Mobility and Interactive Existence as Workmate’.

It is a part of the ‘Project for the Practical Application of Next-Generation Robot’, and has a goal of developing advanced robots in the near future that can interact and coexist with humans.

Standing at 130 centimeters and weighing 70 kilograms, EMIEW robot runs flexibly on a two-wheeled platform with integrated obstacle sensors that allow easy place-to-place movement, even on narrow spaces.

EMIEW can also engage in interesting dialogs while in motion, and doesn’t need a microphone to process sound from a meter-away source.

    Features:

    • Onboard high-resolution cameras for advanced face detection and clear vision
    • Integrated obstacle sensors for safer place-to-place movement
    • Swift Voice Processing Software and Voice Synthesis for topnotch human-robot interaction
    • Excellent Sound Detection Feature from 3600 direction
    • Two-Wheeled Platform that wonderfully balances itself on its own which is perfect for narrow space movements
    • Has a moving speed of 6km/hour which is remarkably  equal to fastest human walking pace
    • Pair of flexible robotic arms that have 6 degrees of freedom and capable of fluid-like motions
