EPORO

EPORO is a robot developed by Nissan. EPORO robots are designed to have an advanced technology that allows them to move in groups without colliding with each other.

This amazing technology that EPORO robots have is inspired from a school of fish, where collision is not a problem even when travelling in a very large group with close proximity to each other.

EPORO robots have fish behaviors integrated into them, like collision-proof travelling side-by-side. Nissan’s EPORO robot uses laser range finder for lateral-line sense and UWB^*5 communication technology for its vision.

Nissan foresees that the wonderful ability of the EPORO robots would be integrated in its future collision-proof cars.
