  • FRIDA is a dual-armed robot developed by ABB, the Swiss leader of automation. In 2014 renamed to "YuMi" it is designed for industrial assembly operations.

    The prototype FRIDA offers portability and fast installation. Having only a torso and a pair of padded arms, FRIDA is the same size as an average human.

    The dual arm robot is integrated with ABB’s extraordinary robot controller, the IRC5 which allows agile motion. FRIDA has a very versatile gripper that works closely with the camera for best part location.
