FT (Female Type)

  • FT, which is short for ‘Female Type’, is a biped humanoid robot. It was developed by Tomotaka Takahashi of the Kyoto University in collaboration with ROBO-GARAGE.

    Tomotaka Takahashi envisioned that half of the robots in the future will be female and hence created FT. Standing 35 centimeters tall and weighing 800 grams, FT robot is designed to have the lean body line of a woman.

    Female Type moves gracefully using its 23 motors which are controlled by an onboard computer, and uses the SHIN walk technology.
