  • GuRoo is a humanoid robot controlled by a PDA or PC developed at the Mobile Robotics Laboratory of the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the University of Queensland.

    Short for Grossly Underfunded Roo, this robot is programmed with the use of DynaMechs software, which was developed by Scott McMillian from Ohio State University.

    The Australian laboratory designed this robot in 2001 with the objective of making a robot that is fully functional without being too intrusive. This humanoid robot is a regular RoboCup tournament participant, and its function is still being utilized by the university for its ongoing robotic research.
