  • HAL, which stands for ‘Hybrid Assistive Limb’, is a cyborg-type robot developed by Cyberdyne in collaboration with Tsukuba University. HAL robot is designed to enhance the physical capability of the person wearing it.

    With 160 centimeters in length and 23 kilograms in weight,  the Hybrid Assistive Limb robot is equipped with powerful angle sensors for both upper and lower limbs, and operates using the Hybrid Control System and its built-in battery pack.

    HAL robot is intended to assist handicapped individuals, support workers in accomplishing heavy workloads, and help rescuers in life-saving missions.
