Halluc II by fuRo &Leading Edge Design
The Future Robotics (FuRo) Technology Center of Chiba Institute, in collaboration with Leading Edge Design, developed the Halluc II. This time the robot can do more than move forward, backward and sideways. Halluc II robot has three modes of mobility: Vehicle; Insect; and Animal Mode.
The robot can run like a typical vehicle with added ground disturbance-handling capability, crawl like an insect, or walk like a dog with its eight robotic legs. In addition, the Halluc II robot can carry objects using its two front legs. Halluc II sports a variety of onboard sensors for topnotch and safe movement.
