  • Austria’s Team Dornbirn created a humanoid robot sumo that walks on two feet and has three servo motors. This sumo robot is called the Haruka. Its developers are on the verge of hooking up a fourth servo motor which is still optional, pending its running capabilities.

Though dubbed as “a humanoid sumo robot”, this humanoid robot can also dance, stand on one foot and do some 360 degree turns. The Haruka can also translate.

Infrared sensors are installed in its eyes. This allows it to recognize objects and faces, as well as avoid any obstacles it may encounter.
