Hovis is a smart home robot developed in 2011 by South Korea’s Dasarobot. Created in three different versions – Eco, Genie, and App – this robot is intended for diverse functions. One of the functions that Hovis robot will have is an interactive mobile content monitor. Experts wanting to build their own applications for this robot can do so with its open source platform. Users can control Hovis using WiFi connectivity. Its developers have also indicated that Hovis will have a part in the healthcare area, performing tasks like measuring heart rate and blood pressure.
