HUBO Series : HUBO FX-1

  • HUBO FX-1, also known as Chair Robot, was created by Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). It is called a chair robot because it is basically a chair with legs which could carry around a 100kg human.

    It is a 2-meter robot weighing 150 kg with no less than 12 DOF, and runs on a Windows XP Operating System. HUBO FX-1 is equipped with different sensors - 3-axis torque sensor, gyration sensor, a body inclination sensor, and feet inclination sensors.

    It is also powered by a 400/800 W AC Servo engine which is able to attain a maximum of 3000 RPM and a torque of 2.39 Nm at 800 W.
