    South Korea’s KAIST Intelligent Sweet Home (ISH) has been developing smart homes since 2005.  Smart Homes are automated houses that are installed with the latest and most advanced home assistance technology. These homes contain numerous devices or systems that make daily tasks easier, especially for older or disabled people. 

    Some of these smart home devices include intelligent beds, wheelchairs, robotic hoists and a robotic agent. One of these advanced mechanisms is a three-wheeled robot named Joy. 

    Joy stands 110cm tall and has two arms with grippers able to fetch and grasp objects. It serves as the house steward. It acts as the primary interface for human and machine interaction inside the intelligent home.
