    KHR-1 is a programmable biped humanoid robot developed by Hubo Lab in 2003.  It is also known as the ECO-ROBOT and it stands 34cm high tall with 17 degrees of freedom. Each joint is powered by an individual servomotor making the KHR-1 very flexible.

    The robot is equipped with sophisticated digital servos and electrical components designed for high performance. It is capable of performing human-like movements such as walking, climbing the stairs, back flips and pulling itself up from a lying or seating position. 

    The KHR-1 is operated by a NiCad 6V MA-Hr rechargeable battery and is equipped with 2 RCB-1 Control Boards : each board can handle 12 servos.  These servos can communicate via ICS to Pulse Stretch, Speed, Punch, Dead band, Damping, Protection Timer, and Range Limits.
