Korea’s Robot Research Institute has developed a humanoid they call Kiro. It was created for a three-week trial period in a kindergarten classroom, where it played interactive games, showed educational videos and kept the students' attention better than a regular lecture.
The robot can also act as a guide in a museum, and can provide visitors with information while talking in a hushed tone. It isn’t just capable of playing with children or being a museum reference guide, though; it can also be programmed to act as an educational aid for teachers.
