  • Yuta Sugiura, a young student from the Keio University’s Graduate School of Media and Design, developed and created a robot called Kitro. This robot is eco-friendly and is 200mm tall.

“Ki”, which means wood in Japan, aptly applies to this biped robot. It weighs only 450 grams including the batteries, and 90% of its weight is wood. Though made from indigenous materials, this humanoid robot can walk forward, backwards, lift its arms, carry some loads and even bow down.

Although it is small in size for which it can be considered as a tabletop robot, this eco-friendly humanoid is relatively strong.

    Kitro Features:

    • Made from wood
    • Bipedal
    • 200mm tall
    • 450grams
