LOCH
Nanyang Technological University headed by Professor Ming Xie created a full-scale humanoid robot called LOCH. It has a height of 175cm and it weighs 80kg. It was built with sensors to help it gain better understanding of its surroundings.
LOCH has a 3-axis gyro/accelerometer sensor installed in its trunk, 6-axis force torque sensors in its wrists and ankles, pressure sensors in the palm and all its fingers, and another 6 pressure sensors located in the soles of both feet. It also has 3 microphones for improved audio detection.
On top of all of that, the robot also has visual sensors mounted in its head which include a monocular camera, stereo cameras, distance sensor, and a laser range finder.
