The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) together with Samsung Electronics Co. Limited has created another version of Mahru: the Mahru II. An upgraded version of Mahru I, it is equipped with an external server that is connected to a network, enabling the analysis of images or voice data. Mahru II can also perform robo-butler duties, and has the ability to walk forward, sideways, backwards, or turn left and right. It can walk a maximum of one kilometer per hour.
