Mex-One (Geometrix)
Recognized as Mexico’s first humanoid robot, Mex-One, or Geometrix is the brainchild of Professor Eduardo Bayro-Corrochano from the Research and Advanced Studies Center of the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. With help from Robai and Energid technologies, the creators of this social robot boast of its great features, which they said were far better than the robotics technologies used in the design and creation of USA, European, and Japanese robots.
Mex-One has an open architecture, allowing universities, research centers and other entities to develop and enhance the capabilities of the robot. This can also be used as a means of designing the robot or programming its system, according to the purposes they want to address.
The robot has the capability to walk, climb stairs, pour water, recognize faces, learn through experience, and engage in simple conversations.
