In 2006, the FIFA contracted several robot guards to watch over the World Cup Stadium in Berlin, Germany where several soccer games were held. One of these robots was the MOSRO 1.
This robot’s security functions are so diverse that its maker, Robowatch, claims that this robot can be used either as personal security, a means to protect properties against theft, protection from crimes, or as a way to warn against smoke, gas, and fire.
Additionally, this robot is capable of guarding large areas with its flexible security solution. This 25kg robot can operate continuously for up to 14 hours at a speed up to 4km/hr.
