Murphy, a humanoid robot, was built with massive shoulders and has the capacity to pull more than 600Kg. A group from UPPSALA University created this robot, whose inspiration was the robot police from the movie ROBOCOP.
Murphy weighs 180Kg and stretches almost two meters in height. While the creators of this humanoid robot originally aimed to make it fight and solve crimes, the competition at the RoboCup soon became their goal for their robot.
To make this robot totally self-powered, a fuel cell is in the offing besides the additional sensors that have been installed on the Murphy.
